XLNC came together as a band in 1989 to fill a staring gap in the music industry. We have always had one mission to provide quality through professionalism, dedication and commitment. Whether it's recorded albums, live stage shows, gigs, cultural festivals parties or their general attitude to work the XLNC guys stand out by a mile. Since coming together XLNC have now released ten albums, a single and numerous tracks on compilation albums. Our albums have sold in excess of 40,000 copies and they have performed and entertained music lovers all over the world. We were the first Asian band to be invited to perform in Tokyo in 1994 and have toured many other countries including Canada, USA, Amsterdam and India. In the UK XLNC have been a regular feature at all the quality gigs, shows, melas, music/cultural festivals, etc. and in 1995 we were invited to perform in both English and Pubjabi for the UK's biggest holiday company 'Butlins'. After the phenomenal success of our debut album 'R U Ready' we received the Gold disc from our record company and were voted the 'Best Newcomers' by UK Asian Students and Movie International. XLNC are a unique British Asian band with lethal qualities. We exude vibrancy and raw young energy, coupled with a killer instinct and the hunger to succeed. Our music is both challengingly contemporary and spiritually traditional. We are one of the few Bhangra bands who can slip from traditional Punjabi to pure English at the change of a single note. This band has enough style and potential to sit, very comfortably, on the Bhangra throne for a very long time and keep both the body and the conscious extremely happy. 18 years deep in the industry.
